Look great at the end of the day just like you did when you started it.
Welcome to the Wright Artistry blog, in this blog post I'll be sharing with you the importance of using loose powder when applying your makeup in the morning.
Powder is essential when it comes to setting your makeup while keeping it looking fresh all day. If you don't use powder to set your makeup you run the risk of your makeup slipping and sliding throughout the day, giving you an unhealthy shine and patchy look. When choosing a powder begin by choosing one that gives you your desired coverage, in this blog I'll be focusing on choosing a powder with a light, translucent coverage for the ultimate fresh looking complexion.
Opt in for a translucent powder to set your makeup in place, give you a natural finish and to rid your skin of excess oiliness. Apply with a med-full size fluffy powder brush for a natural coverage or use a kabuki brush (with denser bristles) or a beautyblender for a fuller coverage all around.
My Favourite Loose Powder Of All Time
Although I'm in the process of developing Wright Artistry Cosmetics I still have my favourite brands I like to work with, whether I'm on set of a photoshoot or working with a customer on a 1-on-1 consultation, my kit will always be filled with the products that I enjoy and that benefit my clients.
Marcelle face powder is one of those products, developed to provide women with the essential beauty products while supporting a kaleidoscope of cultural diversity, and a vibrant, visionary celebration of humanity, Marcelle fits right in line with what Wright Artistry stands for. I enjoy this powder because the formula helps to give my clients a flawless finish every time!
5 Reasons I Choose and Use Marcelle Loose Powder
It's the perfect setting tool for foundation and makes for great touch-ups during the day.
Absorbs excess oil while helping make up last for an extra-long time with maximum comfort.
Does not settle into fine lines and gives a beautiful natural finish.
Can be worn on its own to give the skin a natural glowing finish.
It's ideal for all skin types and is hypoallergenic and fragrance-free.
My Tips for applying Marcelle Loose Powder
Shake a little bit of powder into the container lid.
With the powder puff, press the loose powder into the skin starting in the T-zone, working your way outwardly onto the cheeks.
Using a kabuki brush, buff the skin in quick, small strokes all over the face, moving towards the hairline.
Finish off by using a powder brush in any size to clean up any excess powder.
Initially this application will give your skin a matte finish but as time goes on you'll start to see your skin start to glow with a healthy dew. Incase you're wondering why the powder looks so fair, not to worry, it's totally translucent (colourless) and will blend naturally with your complexion. Marcelle powders range in varying intensities, depending on the colour range of your skin-tone you'll want to choose a shade accordingly.
